The Basics
Hometown: Montague, Massachusetts (No, its not 'right outside of Boston,' and yes, I
know you've never heard of it).
Major: Double major in English and Spanish, plus a certification with the Center for
International Studies and the Liberal Arts (that is a mouthful so we just say CISLA)
Outrageous Talents: I'm really good at the nipple game.
Obsessions: My cat Tito, my comforter, Sweet Tarts, skiing, MTV, La
República Dominicana, the Connchords, music, flip flops, books, being an idiot.
Pet Peeves: Bad table manners, cooked vegetables, hypocrisy, peanut butter, confusing boys,
cold rain when I'm outside in it.
Favorites
Food: Anything my dad makes, pasta, salad, bagels, cereal, grapefruits, sushi, good bread, milk.
Music: Music equals life so I listen to everything…my favorites are classic rock
(I challenge anyone to a classic rock or oldies trivia match), Spanish pop, classical/vocal,
80s, 90s, anything catchy. But no angsty singer-songwriters or scary metal, please.
Book: Ask an English major this question and you're in for an hour long conversation…
I'll give you the abbreviated version. The Power of One (contrary to what the title may
indicate this is not a self help book), In The Time of the Butterflies (and all Julia Alvarez),
Dickens, Roald Dahl, Nabokov, all the Harry Potter books, those two “educational”
books I brought to rehearsal one time…what?! Wait I'm kidding…kind of…
ConnChord Memory: Singing in the staircase in Branford, “I AM A CHILD!,” certain
2005 initiation activities, the pass the note game, meeting Ali at auditions and each telling
the group the other should get in, sex talks, so many more.
I'm an only child which means I'm spoiled but not a brat. I talk a lot. I play piano and guitar,
which was inevitable because my mom owns a music store and because instruments outnumber
kids in my house by a ratio of about 67:1. I'm on the Equestrian team a Conn when I'm not
recovering from one shoulder surgery or another. I guess the Chords first called me "broken
shoulder girl," which then led to "atrophy" (thanks Kate) and now everyone just freaks out when
I get too active because they think I'm gonna break myself again. I love music, my kitty, little kids,
and being very very silly.
